Of course, Family Day, a cozy day full of activities for both young and old, is not to be missed during Morocco Month. For this edition, we have workshops lined up on making Moroccan tea, henna, playing adjoun, and Rifian singing. Registrations for the Rifian singing and adjoun workshops will follow. Don’t forget to bring your smile and enthusiasm!

Kuumba provides during Marocco Month a platform for small businesses and creative projects to present their initiative. This edition of OutSpoken is special! We are collaborating with the Huis Van Amazigh that will invite special guests for an evening full of poetry and musical interventions. 'Au Temps béni des colonies' by Zoubida MOUHSSIN aims to shed light on the 44 years of French colonization endured by Morocco. To achieve this, two voices intertwine: the voice of "History" and that of a Moroccan woman born at the end of the 19th century.
They will tell you about occupied Morocco, but also about how the colonizer, to attract soldiers and settlers, created a fantasized representation of the Moroccan/Eastern woman, suggesting that her body was offered and submissive.

About Morocco month: To show the diversity and wonderful cultural differences of the African Continent, we are going to highlight a specific country. The month of november (from the 8th until the 30th will be Marocco month in Kuumba! With exhibitions, lectures, musical performances and workshops for young people and adults. All activities are co-organised and accompanied by different organisations, artists and performers.
